GREAT LAKES SEAWAY LIGHTHOUSE TOUR
June 7 - June 12, 2009

We had a wonderful time touring the Lighthouses along the Great Lakes Seaway which began on Sunday, June 7th through Friday, June 12th, 2009!

Our trip included amazing photo and climbing opportunities as we toured the Great Lakes within a deluxe motor coach for 6 days and 5 nights. It include fantastic meals, a luncheon cruise of the Buffalo Harbor, a cookout on Presque Island and a warm welcome at Braddock Point. It has never been open to the public since originally decommissioned in 1954, went to private hands and had remained that way through current. However; the New Jersey Lighthouse Society was the first group to whom the Light was publicly opened up to.   (Photos are courtesy of Eugene Carew)

A full story of the Great Lakes Tour will be presented in the next issue of The Beam to include photos.

Please send any suggestions for future trip planning consideration to Trips@NJLHS.org
