A Message from the Cornelius Low House

March 2008

Dear NJLHS Members,

I am so sorry that a miscommunication in scheduling left many of you
disappointed on Saturday, March 29, as you were unable to view the exhibit
entitled,
"Down the Shore" at the Cornelius Low House. I am extremely proud of this
exhibition, and am sure you would have enjoyed it--particularly the section on
New Jersey's coastal Lighthouses and the display featuring the Finns Point
Lens. Your Society was kind enough to allow usage of some of the text from
your web-site and we are truly grateful. I hope that I can return the favor in
some way.

To this end, I would like to extend an open invitation to everyone to come
visit the Low House. Our exhibit will be on display through June 15,  2008,
and we are open Tuesdays through Fridays (8:30am-4:00pm) and Sundays
(1:00-4:00pm). If anyone is interested in visiting, they can contact me directly and
I will make sure someone is here to meet them.  Again, my apologies, and I
hope to see some of you here before the middle of June.

Suggestions needed

We are trying to plan trips and we are having a difficult time finding places where we can pick up people for the trips with the buses.  If you know of any locations where our people can park their cars safely from 1 to 7 days, please let me know at njlhs@juno.com or by phone at 856-546-7810 in the evening and I will investigate them.  Please give the location, owner and telephone number of a contact person.

I have taken over as publicity chairperson and I need your help.  If you have a newspaper that we could publicize our activities (i.e. meetings, challenge), please send me the name and address of that publication.  Please let me know at njlhs@juno.com or by phone at 856-546-7810 in the evening.
